Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Shopify Manager to lead and optimize our e-commerce platform For our Needlepoint and Mahjong store. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end management of our Shopify store, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers while driving sales growth. Your expertise in web development, system architecture, and digital marketing will be essential to enhance site performance, implement innovative features, and maintain a robust online storefront. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the Shopify platform, including theme customization, app integrations, and plugin management to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate with designers and developers to create engaging wireframes and web design layouts that enhance user experience (UX) and drive conversions.
  • Implement front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SCSS, and TypeScript to improve site responsiveness and visual appeal across devices.
  • Optimize the online store for SEO best practices to increase visibility and organic traffic through content updates and technical enhancements.
  • Develop and manage system architecture for scalable e-commerce solutions utilizing tools like Docker, AWS
  • Monitor site performance using data visualization tools and analytics platforms; troubleshoot issues related to MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL databases as needed.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams using Trello or Jira within Agile frameworks to ensure timely project delivery and feature rollouts.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards by managing user roles, access controls, and implementing DevOps practices for reliable deployment.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing Shopify stores with a strong understanding of e-commerce workflows.
  • Proficiency in front-end development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, jQuery, Bootstrap, TypeScript, and UI/UX principles.
  • Solid knowledge of back-end systems such as PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET <PERSON>, Django, Node.js, Ruby, or Java for custom integration
  • Strong understanding of system architecture principles combined with experience in DevOps tools such as Jenkins or Ansible for automation.
  • Familiarity with web design best practices including responsive web design and wireframing techniques.
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings; experience with WordPress or Drupal is advantageous.
  • Ability to work within Agile methodologies using Jira or Trello; excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams; ability to translate technical concepts into understandable language.
