Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
This position independently resolves all types of software and hardware support requests. Tier II technicians shall be the first escalation point for Tier I techs and should represent appropriate progression of knowledge from the entry level Tier I positions.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma and 3-5 years helpdesk/systems experience.
- Experience must include proficiency with current Windows desktop operating environment (Windows 10) and PCs, Laptops, and other Computer Peripherals.
- Be experienced with diagnostic software tools, remote management applications, and Active Directory utilities.
- Familiarity with mobile devices to include Blackberry, iPad, and iPhone, etc.
- Customer Service oriented.
- Detail oriented.
- Good interpersonal and consulting skills.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow detailed processes, procedures, and instructions.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to pass the required background/clearance investigation.
- Must comply with hospital requirements for vaccinations.
- Must be a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) possessing either Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) or Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS).
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Network+ or Security+ Certification
- Possess 3-5 years helpdesk/systems experience.
- Certifications must meet DoD 8570.01-M requirements
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience within the Department of Defense Medical IT area preferred.
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
