Position Summary:
Perform engineering efforts related to the design, development, testing, and operation of software solutions supporting robotic medical devices. Duties include:
- Designing, developing, integrating and testing PTS software applications and systems, including embedded systems.
- Writing algorithms and program code for applications and systems.
- Working with system monitoring tools and robotic software applications/systems.
- Leading technical support efforts for robotic systems.
- Designing and developing software systems used to control robotic automation including motion control, displays, advanced sensing, computer vision and telematics systems.
- Working with quality engineering to develop test plans, testing and debugging robotic software applications and systems, and investigating and analyzing mechanical failures.
- Designing and developing systems that integrate robotics with peripherals and other equipment.
- Leading research activities into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of software-driven robotic mechanisms, components, or systems.
- Formally documenting all robotic software application and systems development activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, plus 1 year of robotics engineering experience, or in the alternative, Bachelor’s degree in Robotics Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, plus 3 years of robotics engineering experience.
Must have 1 year of experience (may be gained concurrently with primary experience noted above), working with the following:
- C/C++ programming
- Robotics Programming languages including KUKA and KRL.
- Developing on a regulated system – commercial, medical, or military.
- Control systems, real-time embedded systems and VxWorks.
- Linux, QT, Visual Studio, and DDS.
- Programmable Logic Controllers
Must have demonstrated knowledge (through experience or academic coursework) of personnel and machine protection systems, safety systems and other critical control systems.
This role will be fully onsite at our headquarters in Littleton, MA.
