company headquartered in Atlanta, GA, seeks an Implementation Consultant who will drive deployments of several Descartes Suite products while working side by side with customers in the U.S. to resolve their unique problems. This position is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Working with various teams and peers (Sales, Development and Customer Support) to resolve software issues
- Addressing customer needs regarding Descartes’ transportation and logistics-related software
- Communicating with all levels of corporate structure
- Delivering solutions under pressure and resolving complex problems using SQL, JSON, Python, Javascript, XML, and Excel Macros
- Strategically planning implementation strategies
- Using analytics to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Training and guiding customers to empower them to take on questions on their own
- Working together with customers throughout the implementation cycle
- Sharing best practices and creating innovative solutions to maximize user adoption and maximize the value of Descartes Suite of products
- Integrating Descartes software with multiple software, ensuring seamless data exchange and reliability through JSON-based APIs knowledge
- Designing, optimizing, and managing SQL databases to support complex queries, and efficient reporting, ensuring seamless data reliability
- Managing XML-based data structures and integrations, ensuring data exchange and validations across multiple software
- Developing Python-based solutions for data processing, automation, and system integrations
- Managing JavaScript-based solutions for dynamic web applications, system integrations, and data processing; and developing, optimizing, and maintaining Excel macros (VBA) to automate workflows and enhance data processing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain/Logistics Management, or related field of study and one year of experience analyzing software in or for the logistics/supply chain industry required.
- Must be able and willing to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.
- Must have experience with: creating and reading SQL
- Experience working with APIs using JSON
- Working with transportation and logistics-related software for last-mile delivery operations (planning and execution)
- Experience with Python; JavaScript; creating and reading XML; and Excel Macros.
