Position Overview: Business Analysts are responsible for a discrete part of the problem solving on each project. They play an important role on the project teams: performing critical analyses, contributing to the final recommendations, and often presenting their work to Oceaneast leadership and senior clients.
Location: Work location will be split between the client’s work site in Washington DC, the company office in Rosslyn, VA, and the candidate’s remote office
Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of client engagements from scope definition to delivery
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of data into meaningful insights
Develop knowledge of client issues, needs and context
Share insights and results in easily digestible manner in both written format and through interactions with team/clients
Ability to lead reoccurring client meetings independently
Demonstrate initiative and effectively manages own time and schedule
Qualifications and Requirements:
BA/BS required with strong academic background
Superior creative problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
Knowledge and appreciation of business concepts
Strong project management skills
Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation software (Microsoft suite)
Ability to work effectively on multiple projects with demanding deadlines in a team environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge
Knowledge of supply chain management, strategic sourcing, and/or Federal Government acquisition
Occasional travel may be required
