About STS: Squadra Technologies Services is a small business supporting U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) mission planning and related systems engineering efforts, including Combat Air Force Global Strike Mission Planning Systems (MPS) – JMPS, JOMS, NOMS, and future modernization solutions.

Role Overview

We are seeking Software Engineers at multiple levels to design, develop, test, and sustain software for mission planning and related systems. You will work primarily with C#/.NET, Java, and React/TypeScript in a modern microservice and containerized environment, collaborating closely with a high-performing team embedded alongside a major defense prime in an Agile setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software components in C#, .NET, Java, and React/TypeScript for mission planning and related applications.
  • Implement and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices in support of mission planning workflows.
  • Develop user-friendly front-end interfaces using React and modern UI practices.
  • Contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment with systems engineers, product owners, and other developers.
  • Troubleshoot issues across development, integration, and test environments and support fielded systems as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following: C#/.NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript with React.
  • Experience with modern software development practices, including Git-based source control and Agile/Scrum.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to learn quickly, and comfort working in a collaborative team.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (active clearance strongly preferred).

Highly Regarded

  • Direct experience with Mission Planning Systems (MPS), especially JMPS, JOMS, and NOMS (experience in NOMS/JOMS is highly regarded).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Podman).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins or similar).
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, Jest, React Testing Library).
  • Prior experience working on software-intensive DoD or defense contractor programs.

Compensation

Competitive salary commensurate with experience and level, with a target range of approximately $85,000 – $150,000 per year.
