Job Title: Amazon Connect Engineer
Location: Plano, TX (100% Remote)
Duration: 6+ months
**100 REMOTE**
Job Description:
- The role involves supporting a complex issue with Salesforce Service Cloud Voice and Amazon Connect for Expedia.
- The position requires highly technical troubleshooting and integration skills between Salesforce and AWS Connect.
- The team is looking to onboard around eight Amazon Connect resources, with a focus on AI integration in the call center space.
- One role is specifically for a senior Lex developer focused on Amazon Connect and Lex bots, for a financial services client.
- The roles are expected to start mid-January, with urgency due to client needs.
- The work involves new AWS features released at re:Invent, including Bedrock, Nova Sonics, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- The programming language primarily used is Python.
- The roles emphasize hands-on technical work with Amazon Connect, AI models, and conversational IVR systems.
- DevOps experience is a plus but not mandatory as it is covered by other resources.
- The Salesforce developer role remains open but is a lower priority compared to the Amazon Connect and AI-focused roles.
- The positions are client-facing, with candidates potentially communicating directly with the customer.
Must have requirements
- Senior level expertise in Amazon Connect, especially with AI integration and call center voice models.
- Strong technical skills in Salesforce Service Cloud Voice and Amazon Connect integration.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- Experience with AI models such as Nova Sonics, Bedrock, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues involving both Salesforce and AWS Connect platforms.
Nice to have skills
Additional skills that are beneficial include familiarity with DevOps practices, although this is not a strict requirement as other team members cover this area. Experience with integrations, architectural patterns, and building AWS Lambda functions is helpful. Knowledge of voice models such as Q and Connect (previously called Q), Deepgram, and 11Labs is advantageous. Understanding of conversational AI workflows and the ability to work with new AWS features released at re:Invent, such as Bedrock and Nova Sonics, will be valuable. Experience with Lex bots is important for the specific Lex developer role, particularly in financial services contexts.
