Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead laboratory operations supporting the development, testing, and quality assurance of nutraceutical and natural product ingredients and finished products. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with GMP standards, maintaining analytical excellence, and supporting product safety, identity, purity, and potency testing.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily laboratory operations for nutraceutical and natural product testing, including scheduling, workflow, and staff supervision.

Ensure compliance with cGMP, and applicable regulatory requirements for dietary supplements

Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs, test methods, and documentation in accordance with quality standards

Manage laboratory equipment, including qualification, calibration, maintenance, and validation

Oversee raw material, in-process, and finished product testing (identity, purity, strength, contaminants)

Supervise and train laboratory staff on analytical methods, GMP practices, and safety procedures

Manage laboratory inventory, reagents, reference standards, and vendor relationships

Review and approve laboratory data, reports, and investigations (OOS/OOT as applicable)

Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and third-party certifications

Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, and Regulatory teams to support product development and compliance

Assist with budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related scientific field.

Prior supervisory or laboratory management experience

Strong working knowledge of cGMP and regulations for dietary supplements

Excellent documentation, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with botanical raw material testing and identity methods

Familiarity with USP, AOAC, or in-house validated methods

Knowledge of stability testing, shelf-life studies, and method validation
