This is a senior leadership role within a deliberately right-sized organization. The selected candidate will report directly to the Project Manager and work alongside a dedicated estimator, with full office support on submittals, RFIs, change orders, and material procurement.

  • Direct and supervise field crews; assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure quality of installation
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications; identify discrepancies and initiate RFIs as appropriate
  • Perform material takeoffs and coordinate with the office on procurement and delivery schedules
  • Maintain compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Document field conditions, daily reports, and labor hours; support change order documentation as needed
  • Enforce site safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain a culture of safety across the crew
  • Coordinate with general contractors and other trades to maintain project schedule and resolve field issues

Qualifications

Required

  • Virginia Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Minimum 8 years of commercial electrical experience
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience leading crews as a Foreman
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, including Article 500/501 hazardous locations and PVC-coated rigid metal conduit (RMC) applications
  • Proven ability to read blueprints, perform takeoffs, and identify drawing conflicts requiring RFIs
  • Working competence across switchgear installation, generator systems, fire alarm coordination, and BAS conduit infrastructure
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • OSHA 30 certification within 60 days of hire (employer-funded if not currently held)

Preferred

  • NFPA 70E certification
  • Active or interim federal security clearance (WesMart performs cleared work)
  • Experience on federal, healthcare, data center, or infrastructure projects
