We are currently looking for a Networking Analyst. This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting a smoothly running and efficient LAN/WAN Corporate Data/VOIP network including hardware, software and communication links. As well as Access control and Security systems. For new sites this person will also implement new equipment and configurations based on company wide standards and current infrastructure templates.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and implements network security, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access point controllers and AP’s including WAN Configurations.
  • Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
  • Implement network enhancement projects as assigned. Maintain documentation of project progress; work with other contributors on project teams. Resolve problems or escalate to management as appropriate.
  • Receive and approves work orders for the installation and setup of hardware and software components to establish and maintain network operations.
  • Maintain software with upgrades, patches, and fixes.
  • Replace components, interact with vendors, and place orders for approved supplies.
  • Develops, coordinates and implements back-ups and disaster or emergency recovery procedures for information systems and network environment.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding data and computer security, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist Configure and administer Storage Area Network (SAN) and virtualization.
  • Monitor the daily activity on the network ensuring compliance.
  • Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure design.
  • Implement and supports the network ensuring compliance.
  • Responsible for all VoIP network elements.
  • Works with IT team to create department policies.
  • Provides level 2-3 systems support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or AS Degree in Information Technology, Networking/Security
  • 3 years of Network administration experience required.
  • Cisco, Palo Alto or other Networking certifications highly preferred.
  • The position requires good overall knowledge of Palo Alto, Cisco switch and Router OS, VMware, Cisco WAP and HP/Aruba networks, SANs, Virtual Servers and VOIP.
  • Technically adept, analytical, must be able to script, use MIBs’ spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Knowledgeable of Server and Network Management Tools, MS Office, Reporting Tools.
  • Must be willing and able to travel independently nationally and internationally approximately up to 25% of the time during projects, depending on project needs and locations.
