We are seeking 1 team member with talents that include receiving of supplies and materials from company’s suppliers and customer’s suppliers in an accurate and timely manner. Efficiently and safely transports, measures, sorts, inventories, and stocks materials. Assists management with the development of company’s electronic inventory system. Compiles and maintains accurate and timely records of quantity and type of materials and the jobs to which material is assigned.

- Pay: $20/hour to $22/hour based on experience
- Shift: 1st Shift (Mondays through Fridays, 6:00am to 2:30pm with overtime possible)
- Sit Down Forklift and Multi-Directional Forklift experience is required
- Ability to commute/relocate: Placentia, CA 92870: Reliably commute or relocate before starting work (Required)
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
RECEIVING
- Loads or unloads materials onto or off of flatbed trucks, trailers, pallets, skids, or lifting device
- Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but may not limited to forklift, hand dolly, forklift(s), electric dolly, or pallet jack
- Handles incoming materials safely and effectively
- Performs quality and measurement inspections on incoming materials
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures
- Conducts regular physical inventory counts; updates management on inventory counts regularly and when requested
- Weighs and counts materials or products and records weights and counts on tags, labels, or production schedules
- Supplies laser operators with carted materials in a timely manner in line with production schedule demands; supplies only materials that are assigned for a job, not material that has been assigned for another project
- Maintains a safe, clean working environment; removes debris and other hazards (i.e. steel bands and screws) from floor
- Participates in quality improvement efforts
- Performs required administrative tasks; prepares all required reports and correspondence
- Accurately completes daily forklift and maintenance and use logs
- Safely and effectively performs forklift battery maintenance*
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
INVENTORY
- Accurately controls and tracks physical inventory
- Participates in inventory process and daily audits; researches and resolves inventory discrepancies.
- Maintains and manages accurate records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies stocked.
- Maintains and oversees back-order system.
- Maintains and oversees inventory database.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills, Experience, Education, and Abilities
- 5 or more years related experience or equivalent
- Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods
- Sit Down Forklift certified (battery operated forklifts)
- Experience in loading/unloading of flatbed truck
- Accurately identify metal tubing types (commonly, HREW, stainless steel, 4130, Aluminum) – company training available
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to accurately read tape measures in increments of 1/16, 1/8, ¼, and ½ inch
- Ability to accurately read calipers to 100th
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm; accepting of overtime when requested
- Understanding of safety requirements for lifting and equipment maintenance.
- Acute attention to detail
- Proficient on M1 software (company training available) and Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
