At ARC, you would be part of a team that is dedicated to designing and building the most reliable and effective solutions possible.
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team who would be responsible for designing and programming electrical controls for our automation projects. The successful candidate will be part of a team that will ensure customer and internal requirements are met for each project.
Responsibilities:
- Design electrical control system for projects, including hardware selection and safety related system design.
- Create electrical drawings and manage the building of control panels from the drawings.
- Develop PLC and HMI programs to operate equipment according to specifications.
- Program FANUC industrial robots, including vision programming.
- Design and integrate motion control systems including servo and stepper motors.
- Program vision inspection systems (Mostly Keyence).
- Integrate a wide variety of hardware including resonance inspection systems, eddy current inspection systems, laser markers, measurement systems, and any other equipment required for the application.
- Troubleshoot and start up equipment.
- Work with internal team and customers for design reviews.
- Assist with customer run-offs and installation of equipment.
- Provide remote and in-person service and support for all projects after installation.
- Provide customer training and develop manuals and training materials.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work with and contribute to a team of engineers.
- Must be creative, excel at problem solving, and be detail oriented.
- Ability to observe all safety regulations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and have the ability to work out how to integrate new technology.
- Strong programming skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
