company has an opportunity for a Communications & Social Media Specialist who will consistently contribute to the development, design, production, and distribution of a wide range of print and digital communications and graphic materials.

Contribute to effective internal messaging and communications for employees, inclusive of the internal employee newsletter and other communications; assure that all employee communications support and advance employee identification with organizational mission, values, and service framework.

Own the development and writing of engaging content and graphics for various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Measure performance of posts through regular monitoring of analytics.

Produce high quality photographs of agency events and activities for use in organizational publications and postings.

Maintain adherence to established branding guidelines including using approved templates and guidelines in the production of communication, marketing materials and posters.

Routinely assemble, inventory, audit, tag and manage agency communications and graphics libraries and other assets, maintaining them in an organized and accessible manner. Assist in coordinating external agency outreach events.

Assist in the achievement of the organization’s communications and public messaging priorities by providing suggestions that boost the awareness of the organization and programs through brand representation and design.

Effectively utilize organizational websites, social media outlets and written materials to build awareness and maintain communications with diverse stakeholders and donor bases.

Earned Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or other relevant field from an accredited academic institution required.

Excellent project management skills and ability to complete deliverables according to established timelines and standards.

Demonstrated competency in creative and business writing with strong attention to accuracy, detail, and professionalism in work products.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, and demonstrated use of social media platforms.

Ability to transport self throughout the greater metro Omaha area to perform position responsibilities, including possession of a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation or the ability to arrange for such on a regular basis.
