About the Role:

In partnership with a leading insurtech company, we develop and implement a corporate underwriting system. The platform allows for easy customization and building solutions tailored to specific business needs. We deliver long-term, business-critical projects for insurance clients in the United States.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join the team and contribute to building secure, high-quality, and reliable software solutions.

Key technologies and tools: Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, Docker.

Methodology: Scrum

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop backend solutions based on business and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with international, cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs
  • Ensure high quality, security, and reliability of delivered software
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Perform code reviews and support best engineering practices
  • Write unit and integration tests and support production readiness
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and support continuous improvement

Join us if you have:

  • 6+ years of experience in Java-based projects
  • Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, and Hibernate
  • Experience working in distributed, international teams
  • Solid understanding of secure coding practices and building robust systems
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Strong focus on code quality and maintainability
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset

Nice to have:

  • Experience or knowledge of the insurance domain

Additional information:

  • This is a fully remote position
  • We are looking for candidates based in the United States
  • Collaboration expected primarily during ET/CT business hours to ensure effective teamwork with the client
